Hi, I’m Min, co-founder of Language Rehearsal.
I’m French and Thai, but I grew up only speaking English.
That disconnection is common in migrant families, but it leaves something behind. For me, it left a feeling of being on the outside.
So learning French and Thai became a lifelong mission.
I’m not a polyglot. I’m not naturally gifted with languages.
I’m introverted and neurodiverse, which makes things like conversation and memory harder.
I’ve tried everything. Classes, tutors, apps, grammar books, podcasts, movies, music, flashcards. They helped a little, but when it came time to speak, my mind went blank.
I couldn’t tie it all together.
Eventually, I became obsessed with how we actually learn. I even left my job and moved to France just to focus on language.
That’s when I discovered something surprisingly simple: Rehearse the phrases you want to say. Out loud. Until they stick.
Within days, I felt a difference. Words came faster. My pronunciation smoothed out. People noticed, and commented that my French had improved.
That method changed everything. So I turned it into an app.
It’s not flashy, it’s not gamified, and it’s not for everyone. If you want to tap for five minutes and feel productive, there are plenty of apps for that.
But if you’ve tried that, and it didn't help you speak, give Language Rehearsal a go. You’ve got nothing to lose.
